Some odd reactions to Dezarqawification
06/08 11:54 AM

A friend notices some supremely gloomy spin from former CIA analyst Michael Scheurer, discussing Iraq's recent dezarqawification.

“In some ways this is very good news for al Qaeda, because al Qaeda’s forces in Iraq will now focus more on Americans and the Iraqi government, than on simply killing Shias because they’re heretical people,”

In other news, CNN International just reported that Michael Berg, father of Zarqawi victim Nick Berg, said he wished he had the chance for reconciliation with Zarqawi, as well as President Bush.

I believe that Berg's father just said Zarqawi getting whacked "will stir resentment among al-Qaeda."

Dude, they're al-Qaeda. They're already resentful.
