Well, now we know why that New Republic article didn't give membership stats
09/05 05:41 AM
My buddy Cam notices The New Republic leaving out a bunch of relevant facts in a story about a "moderate" gun rights group. Apparently this organization has an entire... 100 to 150 members.

Yet they get a glowing profile as "a group has tapped into a small but growing minority of hunters and sportsmen... Judging from the reception at the conference, there are more Dorrs out there than one might expect. This growing rift among hunters represents perhaps the best opening in years for liberals and moderates to blunt the effects of the gun lobby on the national level."

Dude, 150 members. You get more than that in one theater of a large multiplex on a Friday Night. About ten or eleven rows of seats in the Meadowlands.

UPDATE: I figured this was common knowledge of regular readers of this blog, but Cam is the host of Cam & Company on NRANews.com. So he has a dog in this fight, of course. But he is also... um, correct.
